Status Update!

Hello everyone! It's been a week since we officially released Build 2 to the public; or rather, 2.1, which then became 2.2 immediately after, then 2.2.5... yeah, things didn't go according to plan, did they? >_>

I already explained what went right and what went wrong with the latest launch here, so I'm not gonna do it again. All I can promise is that we won't be making these same mistakes again... or, we'll try to, at least.

Anyway, our second build went quite well! People still have only great things to say about our VN, which is more than I could ask for! The Patreon's taken a light hit in revenue somehow, which is less than ideal... but, overall, we're still cruising quite excellently for a newly-born project. All we need to do to grow our project and community is to continue pushing update after update and show to you all how amazing this project is and how seriously our dev team is taking this commitment!

...Which is why we're scratching that Quality Of Life build I've been hyping up for a while and, instead, working on the very next story build right now! If all goes well, we should be able to release it sometime next month for the public as well! We've already made tons of progress on the art front, and I'll be sure to catch up on the writing side of things once I'm done with this batch of exams.

Like with the last build, there will be halfway builds available mid-development exclusively on our Patreon! That's right: buildsAs in, two of them. If all goes well, the very first one should be up a week from now: it won't be super long, but the surprises contained within will more than make up for the short length! After that, we'll have another halfway build about two weeks after the first (hopefully), and the full build some time after that. I believe this is the first important step towards a regular upload schedule, which I'm sure is something all of you long for.

If you want to support this project, be sure to subscribe to my Patreon! Remember: only Extraordinary Readers (10+ EUR) will be able to read the halfway builds on release date; Dedicated Readers (5+ EUR) will only be able to read them one week after that, while the public won't be able to read them at all. Halfway builds aren't just a way of showing our progress: they're also a way for our most dedicated supporters to give early feedback on the pacing and direction the story's taking and potentially influence them for the better.

Thanks for reading! I hope to see you again a month from now when the next, exciting new chapter of NMF releases! Until then, stay hyped everyone! ^w^

Uh, about the patreon... Sorry to lower my pledge, but I have only so much money to go around, and I saw one of my favorite creators had an opening so I decided to send some money their way. I'll be back to sending you more money again soon, if you'll still let me.

I can't wait to see these surprises because its been nothing but pleasant surprises so far. Not like that Echo novel.

You don't have to apologize! None of my Patreons, present or past, are to blame for the build's reception not meeting my overblown expectations: I was merely setting my sights too high so soon after first releasing my game. We still have plenty of room and time to grow, and I will gladly accept your renewed support once we prove ourselves worthy of it. =3

Also, may I ask that you guys please don't mention other VNs in my comment section, one way or another? I don't want any bad blood between our communities. ^w^

Oh. Right. My bad. I need to take my fanboy medication.
