Build 18 Is Out!
Hey everyone! It's finally time for a new release!
In this build, you'll find:
- A new main story chapter! (Chapter 13)
- A ton of new sprites for Isaac and Daphne! (Both of whom had their code reworked a ton to support them)
- A new sprite for a certain character!
- A new background!
- 2 new CGs! (If you don't count all the variations they come with)
- 2 new music tracks! (Plus one more in the files that we couldn't fit into the build, will be added next chapter)
- A new Chapter Select button in the main menu! (FINALLY!)
- Added a Chapter Number to your save file! (So you can tell which chapter to start over from in the Chapter Select menu if your save bricks!)
- New additions to the fanart gallery!
- Bug and typo fixes in earlier chapters.
Might be unfortunate timing, given what other games release today (I would know, I can't wait to start playing Metaphor once I come home later tonight), but I hope you'll enjoy the new build once you have time to play it. The whole thing turned out even bigger than I could've imagined, and some of these UI reworks and improvements have been long awaited as well. Should make it even easier to pick up from where you left off, should your saves somehow break!

UPDATE: we discovered some typos and bugs in the game, including the android build displaying the incorrect icon on the dashboard. We'll release an 18.1 version tomorrow that fixes all the known bugs and typos. My apologies for the trouble.

Mary became the weakest supporter of Narrator from Slay The Princess, although he was a bit more direct then she was
Really happy to see another update, thank you for all the hard work. I love how this VN goes into really deep topics and gives a lot to think about. The characters also feel real and are very memorable :)
So. Chapter 13.
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!??
Oh my god this was crazy. I mean, there wasn't any action in chapter 13, but I feel as though I've just read through every fight scene every created, while simultaneously reading the beginning of any detective novel at the same time. AND WHAT WAS THAT WITH MARY? I mean, I share her views. When I play the game, I like to think what I would do in Isaac's shoes. I realized I wouldn't be special for embracing the synthetic life eagerly, nor would I be special in any way if Mary picked me. She probably wouldn't, now that I think about it, but that's not the point. I do share her views. BUT YOU CANNOT ACT LIKE THAT FOG THING DIDN'T HAPPEN! OR THE SHADE TAKING SHAPE AT THE VERY LAST SECOND!!!!
While we're here, I'd also like to bring forth a suggestion for questions at Sedge's library. We know about the (about to be) world changing story of Isaac, but we know very little of the world at large. Could you, by my humble request, add a little worldbuilding segment? A geopolitical explanation of the world at large? How fare the superpowers of old? What about the impoverished countries? Is it late stage capitalism/early stage dystopia, or is the future more authoritarian utopia-like? I would very much like to know!
